I would just like to say that up until just a while ago I myself had stuck saving screen issues. Thankyou so sos os sososososososo much this helped me completely. My save attempt worked! I have no idea why so if you could provide me with some information on that I would greatly appreciate it.

This does not exist in my new saved game (with the exception of the file which exists in both the new saved game and the old saved game). So I noticed in my old saved game there is a. I do have CC but since a new 'the sims 3' folder has been created, and I was adding folders back 1 at a time, I have not yet added the CC. I tested the game using the old saved game and I cannot save, so the problem has to be the old saved game right? I'm not sure what to do at this point but I'm really hoping it can be fixed. Now my saved games folder consists of the brand new saved game and my old saved game. Once I confirmed my new game saved, I moved the saved games folder from the sims3_backup folder to the newly created sims 3 folder. I created a new game and the new game did save even after moving the options.ini file from the backup folder into the new sims folder. I tried resetting the game to factory settings without re-installing using the following guide (I noticed you are also the person who posted the guide): I have EP's generations, ambitions, showtime, university, supernatural, seasons, and Island paradise. Unable to save, no error message, just stuck on the saving screen.

I am experiencing exactly what the OP posted about. Using desktop built less than a year ago by bf who is nutso about specs and whatnot. I'm 100% sure it has nothing to do with my computer specs.

Sims 3 taking forever to save
